This is a fascinating first-person account of the sinking of the Titanic as told by one of the survivors - - "THE LOSS OF THE SS TITANIC" - Its Story and Lessons, by Lawrence Beesley. Beesley was encouraged to share his story with the world in order to give a more accurate account of the events, as compared to books that would be written by those who were not there that fateful day. The book was pulished June, 1912 - the same year, and only two months after, the Titanic sank. It contains photographs as well as two 2-page diagrams of the Titanic. Some very light staining to the covers; clean spine; there are a couple tiny cloth tears at the bottom edge of the spine and at the lower-outer corner tip of the front board. Tight binding. Name written in pen on front pastedown. Overall in very good condition.
