UK,slim 16mo HB+dw/dj,1st edn,3rd imp.[Originally and first published Sept. 1954,a 2nd impression in April 1955 and a 3rd imp - this edn in Nov. 1955.] NFINE/VG-.Neat ink gift presentation inscrptn and contemporary date (22nd December 1955) to reverse of ffe and author's handwritten,blue ink signature - without dedication - to title page and price-clipped dw/dj.Bright, crisp,clean,matt,wrap-around colour pictorial artwork by David Knight,illustrated dw/dj with black outlined red,and black outlined white lettering to front,black lettering to a slightly darkened spine /backstrip which has a small closed tear at head and miniscule loss at foot of spine/backstrip.With negligible shelf-wear, bumping,creasing to edges and corners - minor creasing and very miniscule rubbing with some chipping and reciprocal loss to all corner tips and an approx.2.5" closed tear along front,lower edge.Top edges lightly discoloured from dust-soiling but with very little sporadic foxing/ spotting,fore-edges similarly lightly toned and with virtually no foxing; contents bright,tight, exceptionally clean - almost pristine - solid and sound,no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners - appears unread apart from my own collation.Bright,crisp,clean,sharp-cornered,publisher's original,paper-covered boards/covers with bright,crisp,clean repeated dw/dj design/ artwork and grey cloth blind-spine with blocked blue ink lettering,and near immaculate red+white scenic illustrated eps,both hinges solid and sound without any cracking.UK,slim 16mo HB+ dw/dj,SIGNED,1st edn, 3rd imp,5-102pp [paginated] includes Pts 1-3 each with b/w line illustrated Pts headpiece,plus [unpaginated] red+white vignetted half-title,red+white vignetted title page with author's blue ink signature, A uncommon SIGNED example with dw/dj.
