New York: Random House, 1969. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Fine cloth first printing of first edition with gilt lettering on spine and cover and Good DJ. The book is flawless. Spine is straight and tight. No markings, creases, or tears anywhere. Not ex lib, not remaindered. DJ is essentially sound but chipped and worn along top and bottom edges- three closed tears 1/2 inch or less at top of back cover and one at bottom. 1/2 inch closed tear at bottom right corner of front cover. Not price clipped. 249 pages.
Synopsis
Lovey Childs: A Philadelphian's Story Originally published in 1969, the tale of Lovey is set in the mad 1920's. Her mother, a lesbian, is locked in the asylum, which sets the tone for her voracious sexual exploration, with all of the consequences one might imagine.
