About This Item
Hong Kong: Hong Kong Hua Hsia Publications, 1972. Hardcover. 521p., illustrated with period and contemporary photographs, both color and b&w on glazed clay-coated paperstock , a humongous hardbound (15x11 inches) in sky-blue cloth boards, the cloth a printed (not woven) brocade embellished with several different colors plus gilt, and enclosed in the sturdy colorful dust jacket. Boards are sunned or toned along top and bottom margins with a few mild handling smudges, and the dust jacket is somewhat edgeworn with paired short tears to top edge. A note by the publisher advised that emigrated Chinese will really enjoy the profusion and coverage of the photo-choices, and that the first edition sold out entirely.
