XI pp + 100 humorously-captioned reproductions of drawings by Bac (1859-1952), Napoleon's illegitimate nephew. The drawings depict the role of women in Parisian society of the Belle Époque. From the collection of noted bibliophile Robert Masson, with his bookplate and ownership signature. 8vo. Attractively bound in quarter cloth and marbled boards by Léon Lemardeley (signed). Top edge gilt, other edges uncut. Original wraps preserved. Light wear to extremities of binding, else FINE AND BRIGHT. COPIES ON JAPANESE PAPER ARE OF THE GREATEST RARITY.
