New York: Harper & Brothers, 1940. Solid copy of first printing. First edition stated with correct code of K-P. Unmarked, tight and square. Terra Cotta cloth in form of buckram shows some wear but no major defect. Light soiling to front pastedown and lighter still on rear pastedown. This was edited and with an introduction by Bernard DeVoto from unpublished parts of Twains Autobiography. 402 pages with index. Price intact jacket has light chipping at spine ends and faint soiling on front panel. In mylar. . First American Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/VG-. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
