The First Edition, First Impression was 1921 and all firsts had all 6 stories and the Music. The stories were also printed singly at different dates. Their prices are unknown when compared with the full 7 works. Head of spine a bit worn and fragile and strengthened to stop further damage. Silk page marker detached and fragile. Pictorial Endpapers. Patterned suede binding with gilt image and lettering on spine & front. All edges gilt. xviii plus 376 pp, with frontis plus 4 tipped-in coloured illustrations, all complete with tissue guards occasionally foxed, no list. A handsome collector's piece. Please expect extra postage to overseas. Covered in plastic

Soft-covers and hard-covers without Dj s are covered in adhesive plastic. While we have neither insects nor dampness in our shop, you might find that the total plastic cover keeps both at bay. Covering the whole book means that the common edge-wear described by so many dealers is mostly absent in our books. Any "plastic" is easily removable, it is not adhered to the book nor to the dust jacket. We do not use sellotape nor any other tape which discolours. We restore books where necessary and describe ONLY EXCEPTIONS to a perfect state. Faults in expensive books are described in huge detail. WHEN RESTORED the majority of "faults'' are visible only with great difficulty and certainly NOT in an image. To avoid misleading you we include few images. Please be guided by the very full descriptions. If no faults are described in a cheaper book, please be guided by the Condition. RESTORATION SERVICE. We restore any book younger than 1800 making your grotty, broken old books look like beautifully-cared-for precious old books. DUST JACKETS IN FACSIMILE. We provide colour copies of any DJ in our stock. Please ask for quotes, images & descriptions.
