About This Item
[N.p. (Madison?): People's Information Committee, Wisconsin Chapter, 1971]. Quarto. Staple-bound pictorial card wrappers; 33pp; illus. Mimeographed. Minor soiling to covers, still a tight, Very Good to Near Fine copy, free of markings or significant wear. Exposé of the Army Mathematics Research Center, a federal military think tank located on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. Published seven months after the AMRC was car-bombed by four University of Wisconsin undergraduates, doing little damage to the Center but killing one graduate research assistant and injuring three others. This document attempts to pick up where the bomb left off, in an effort to destroy the AMRC through exposure of its own internal documents. The relationship of the bombers (all of whom evaded arrest for years, with one still at large as of 2020) to the publishers of this pamphlet, if any, is unknown. Uncommon; OCLC notes six locations, including two in Wisconsin.
