First edition of this masterpiece of anti-fascist literature.
Eight short stories, written by Zofia Nalkowska who collected them from the victims of the Nazi atrocities in Poland and survivors of concentration camps, as a member of the special committee for the investigation of Nazi crimes in Poland.
Zofia Nalkowska (1884-1954) was one of Poland's most distinguished feminist writers, member of the Polish PEN Club, the first female member of the Polish Academy of Literature.
