About This Item

New York, New York, 1875. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. G/1st ed. Published in 1875, this first edition is really more to the Good Plus side with wear to the cloth covered boards at all corners, and the top and the bottom of the spine. The binding is remarkably tight, and the title on the front panel is bright and complete. All pages are present; the interior pages are a mellowed white, the paste downs and free end papers are a little darker. The front paste down has the original owner's book plate and the front free end paper has an inscription from a member of the Ward family to the family of the original owner. The first 15 pages document the life of Samuel Ward's life followed by 5 pages about the Ward family. The book is housed in an non acid document bag for storage, and will be mailed boxed, and if you pick up, I can have it in the mail tomorrow. BRBC
