About This Item
23rd Congress, Washington, DC, 1834. 1st Edition . Pamphlet. Fair/None. This government publication, foxed, is laid inside a homely modern paper as cover. The cover states "one of a great number of such documents sent from all over the country at this time." Additionally, an original sales label is laid on a paper cover. The historical interest of this item may be that it lists the names and occupations of the inhabitants of Salem of that era. The pamphlet appears to be cloth stitched and laid in to the modern cover which has a 2'' crease tear at its spine top.
