A Message for Congress from Davy Crockett: Understanding Welfare

by Crockett, Davy

Condition: Fine/No Jacket

US: Noah Webster Library, 1990. Paperback. Fine/No Jacket. First Published by John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company, Boston, MA 1928. Paperback with comb-binding in Fine Condition. A most interesting message to Congress by Colonel Crockett (1786-1836) regarding 'welfare' and other issues. There is information about his background, and rise to politics when he first became a Congressman in 1827, a "sturdy, keen-eyed backwoodsman, honest to the core, and as unlearned as he was independent, left his bear hunting to go to Washington., and his actions as a congressman, honest and dedicated to the country. Well worth reading--and digestiing. 21 pges. 8.75 x 11 inches. 1990, Noah Webster LIbrary, USA
