New York: Chanticleer Press, 1948. Hardcover. Good +/good +. A title in the 'World of Music' series. Book traces the history of Handel's famous Oratorio - "Messiah". Tight binding. No chips or tears on pages. Gift inscription and shadow created by dust jacket flaps on endpapers. 1" of spine covering is missing at tail end. Dust jacket has some tears and chips and is missing a triangular piece on front panel. A hole has been neatly punched through the front flap of the jacket, likely to remove the original price. Includes 7 plates in colour and 34 black and white illustrations. Size: 8vo (8" to 9"). 71 pp.
