About This Item

New York: The Pilgrim Press, 1979. Portfolio. Issued with twenty plates of which no. 3 is lacking (described below) . We are offering the 19 numbered plates in perfect condition, enclosed in its useful portfolio folder, which is damaged. Background text is either from a densely printed card laid in (same size as photo-stock, authored by Rosenblum) or from the folder text by Duffey, where we read that pictures were "Printed in Stonetone by the Rapoport Printing Company" - we do not know what Stonetone is but the plates look to us as printed from negatives. Graphics measure 13x9.25 inches on 17x11 inch cardstock sheets, and as stated, are in perfect condition. The portfolio has gotten badly crimped & rubbed round all margins and is raggedly torn near the heel about two inches. Still a useful container. As is, 19 of 20. The missing picture was labeled "United Mine Workers of America, Buchanan County, VA
