First edition hardback in original dustjacket , stating first published 1927 on verso title page , Book has no inscriptions , pale blue boards with gilt titles to front , a few small marks to boards and spine a little creased, no spine lean , no tears and no creases to pages , 2 corners are pushed , spine tips are pushed , minor wear to tips and corners , usual page toning with age ,311pp , publishers code on last page F75-827 , in original jacket that is not faded , not price-clipped but showing no price , lists this book as new or forthcoming in Cassell's 7/6 novels , spine tips and corners rubbed , toned with age , chip missing top spine tip , tiny chips missing to corners and spine corners , 2 small closed tears , nice copy of a scarce title in original jacket , not a remainder , not an ex-library copy.
