About This Item
Monsieur Nongtongpaw is an 1808 poem thought to have been written by Shelley as an 11 year old. The poem is an expansion of Charles Dibdin's song of the same name and was published as part of William Godwin's Juvenile Library. Handsomely bound in polished red calf over marbled boards; gilt particulars to spine; top edge gilt. Original yellow paper wraps nicely bound in. Six Cruikshank illustrations throughout. No previous owners' names or other markings. Pages bright and clean. Shipped through USPS Priority insured mail. 4 1/4 x 6 1/2 inches.
