It may be a recommendation to the lover of light literature to be told, that the following story does not involve the complication of plot. It is a mere continuous narrative of an almost every day exaggeration, interspersed with sporting scenes and excellent illustrations by Leech. Good/No dust jacket, Moderate wear, rubbing & bumping to Marbled boards w/quater bound leather, raised banded spine strip w/gilt lettering & decor in title boxes, cracked hinges, owner's name & date on pastedown (1859), mild foxing, illustrated w/WONDERFUL ("Huntsman") engravings on steel and woodcuts by John Leech. 408pp. All text basically bright, clean & solid. . Good. Half-Leather. 1853.
