About This Item

Allyn & Bacon. Fair/NONE. 1961. no edition/printing given. Hardcover. Vol. 3 only. No dust jacket. Rated fair only because of water and old mold stains throughout otherwise book and text are still tight. Scent of mold is barely there. So pages are lightly crinkled. This is an ex-school library book with normal discard/markings. Covers have a slight bow on long side edges. Front cover shows a Pied Piper character playing a flute type instrument. He is in color but the children following are black illustrations. Book is divided into 2 parts. Part I contains songs from the following themes - Under Western Skies, America's First Music, On The Musical Road To Storyland, With My Friends In Orchestraville, When All Nature Sings, Magic Of Faraway Places. Part 2 contains the following themes - Let's Make More Music, Festival Of The Seasons. Lots of sweet color illustrations popular in the late 1950's and 1960's. Music is for the piano with suggestions for accompanyments such as rattles, clapping hands, drums, etc book is from the Loring AFB Schools and dated 1964. Will look up titles.
