Pages have browned but are otherwise clean throughout. French language. Inscribed and signed by the author to half title page: 'A Monsieur Middleton Murrey, tres convial hommage, Jean Royere'. The half title page also has a previous owner's name to upper margin, plus a couple of ink spots. The original recipient may have been John Middleton Murry, husband of Katherine Mansfield, and a contemporary of Royere in literary criticism. . Overall condition is Very Good.
