Former National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff recounts his life and military and government service. Stated first edition. Random House first printing thus the number line sequence begins at "2". No writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square, and the boards are flat and true with only minor edge wear, though the blue cloth spine appears a bit faded in spots, and the gold gilt lettering is also slightly worn. There is also some light soiling to the front endpapers. Dust jacket is not price-clipped ($25.95) and shows only minor edge wear, scuffing, and bumping to the corners including a 1/4" tear on the lower left corner of the back cover. The jacket and flaps are also lightly browned toward the edges, and there is a small area of red soiling at the bottom of the spine. This collectible, near fine/very good+, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
