Boston: Dewolfe, Fiske & Co., 1910. No date; circa 1910. Cream and ochre colored pictorial padded cloth boards, moderate shelf wear, discoloration. Cover with ornate gilt titles with flourishing lithographic design of red, white, green and gilt floral setting. Thick heavy stock coated leaves, near fine; no writing. Slight fox at front endpapers. Cream silk moire-like with reflective sheen at front and back pastedowns and endpapers. Charming frontispiece of elegant young lady in gown gazing out window at flying white bird above with open book upon sill likely by artist Jessie Barrick. Text in gilt with fine golden ornate borders, with light blues and reds for accent. Beautiful chromolithographic designs in rich colors of ruby red, pinks, blues and greens, throughout. Beautiful floral, angelic, and Godly pastoral scenes and settings throughout in deep blues, reds, and metallic golds. Dynamic colorful vignettes of cherubs and angelic themes with natural floral and arboreal decorations, dentelle borders. Bind good. Unique, string-bound volume. Near very good, charming volume of fine book craftsmanship. Designed and printed by The Hayes Lithography Company of Buffalo, New York. Apprx. 40 pages. Insured post.. First Edition Thus. Hard Cover.
