Eighteenth century Catholic instructional, with prayers for Morning and Evening, Stations of the Cross, Confession, Communion, Church Feast Days For The Entire Year, Litanies, Procession to the Holy Trinity, Pilgrimages, a Special Devotion to the Blessed Virgin, and more. Authored by renowned German theologian and ascetic, P. Martin von Cochem (1630-1712), Capuchin friar celebrated for his piety and dedication to those in both spiritual and temporal need. Full leather binding, some decorative tooling. Illustrated with eight wonderful full-page copper engravings. Leather aged yet retains resiliency, hinges supple and uncracked, a few chinks along the spine shoulders, some board corner wear. Text clean and bright, binding perfectly tight, sound, and square. Blank end papers inscribed with early family history entries.
