About This Item
Boston: Ginn and Company, 1905. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. Boston: Ginn and Company, 1904 & 1905. A very early edition of this collectible text, possible first edition, with the dates 1904 and 1905 on the copyright page and no mention of printing or revision. 12mo, green cloth boards with gilt imprinting on spine and black imprinting on cover -something of an oddity in itself; x + 342 pp. Good; scuffed, some soil, notable wear at corners and spine ends, wear to cover and spine imprinting, thorough fountain pen annotation at endpapers, hinges starting. Laid in is an oddly touching piece of homework from May 27, 1920, also fountain penned, on woven paper. Scarce even in later editions; quite rare in the 1905 edition. L-39n
