About This Item
U.S.A.: Alfred A. Knopf, 1973. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. A near-fine copy in a very good plus unclipped dustjacket. This copy is signed by John Gardner-- directly on the front free endpaper--signature only without any inscription. A tight and clean copy with very light spots to the dark brown top edge--hardly noticeable. The dustjacket is very good with minor edgewear to the extremities--and a slightly faded spine, unclipped and protected in a new acrylic dustjacket covering. Gardner was a major American author until his life was cut short by a motorcycle accident in 1982. This is one of his most well regarded novels.
