New York: Harper & Row, 1970. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Thin folio. Unpaginated (42pp.) Cream-colored cloth with full color paste-on to the upper board. A fine copy. The dustwrapper is fine with the first state code of 1070 and the first state list of seven books on the rear flap, but with a second state price of $5.95 and with the Caldecott sticker on the upper cover.
Inscribed by Sendak on the front free endpaper, "For the Fosters -- Cock - a - Doodle Doo! Maurice Sendak."
Except for the price and sticker on the dustwrapper, this copy has all of the first printing indicia.
