About Village Lights Bookstore, ABAA/ILAB

Village Lights Bookstore opened as a brick-and-mortar shop in 2008. We are a quintessential "mom & pop" business, locally owned and independent, and we live above the shop. We are members of the American Booksellers Association and the Great Lakes Independent Booksellers Association, and offer a carefully curated in-store selection of new and used books. The quality of our online service is as important to us as that in our open storefront. We offer a modest, but diverse, selection of rare, collectible, and antiquarian items. No algorithms employed. We carefully grade our books in accordance with IOBA Book Condition Definitions (, describe them using standard ABAA terminology (, and painstakingly package them to prevent damage in transit. We value direct communication, so please feel free to call if you have questions about our listings or to confirm that an item is still on hand. And consider visiting us on Main Street in the heart of downtown Madison, Indiana, the country's largest contiguous National Historic Landmark District, and a Designated Indiana Cultural District, on the banks of the beautiful Ohio River.
