1964 hard cover as pictured. This is a handsome volume depicting the work of indigenous American artists from the time before European contact. Text is in Spanish with b&w photographs by Irmgard Groth-Kimball. From the personal library of sculptor, Dorothy Riester, who signed and dated the book on the front free endpaper. Binding is firm. Embossed tan cloth boards with brown stamping are clean with only light edge wear and slight age tanning at exposed edges. Endpapers mottled. Text, printed on art paper, appears clean and unmarked.
