First edition, 8vo, xiv, 342, [16, index]pp., presentation inscription, title page slightly browned, 10 engraved plates of which 2 are folding, marbled endpapers, contemporary diced calf with red morocco spine gilt decorated and lettered direct, a nice copy. Provenance: Presentation inscription to title page "June 1816, Eyre Evans, the gift of Emma Mansell", Small oval stamp on endpapers of the Lawes Agriculture Library, Rothamsted Research Institute.
