About This Item

New York: Rinehart & Company, Inc., 1952. 1952 Edition with 1952 copyright and Rinehart logo on copyright page. VERY GOOD+ in VERY GOOD pictorial dust jacket. A clean, totally unmarked and firmly bound copy. Filled with dramatic black & white photos of rigs, wells, pipe lines and refineries - and the men who labor at them. Pages are fine. Light beige cloth hardcover is titled in red on spine and front. The cloth is lightly toned along bottom edge, but cover is otherwise clean and fresh. Jacket, with full coverage black and white photos on front and back is clean, moderately edgeworn (several closed tears and creases, small chips). Front flap has been price clipped. The jacket is in a clear archival protector. Binding and hinges are firm, intact and straight. Though times have changed, the book provides youngsters (and adults!) insight to a fascinating facet of the oil industry. 10-1/2 x 10-3/4". 96 pages. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good. Illus. by Hollyman, Thomas (Photographer). 4to.
