Octavo, pp. [1-8] [1] 2-341 [342: printer's imprint] + [16]-page publisher's catalogue dated "9.00" inserted at rear, original red buckram, spine panel stamped in gold, t.e.g., other edges untrimmed, white endpapers with publisher's devices printed in gray. Quiller-Couch's best collection of short fiction, including classic ghost stories, "A Pair of Hands" and "The Seventh Man."
