New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1980. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/very good. Octavo, 389pp. A very good copy in the publisher's dark grey boards with white cloth spine. An evidently read copy, slightly shaken, but still sound. In a very good price-clipped dust jacket, gently faded on the spine, with some shallow chips along the extremities. This copy SIGNED and warmly INSCRIBED by Huston on the half-title page: For Jon [Don?] with appreciation + thanks - his friend + admirer John Huston 20/12/84. Another name is written in what looks like the same ink lower on the same page; we can't make it out. There is a large, but very faint smudge on the signature page, which does overlap with the inscription, but it is not obtrusive. Despite its flaws, still a nicely inscribed copy of the pioneering filmmaker's autobiography.
