First Edition. 10 pages; Clean and secure in original printed self-wrappers. OCLC 13342623 Multilith reproduction of original publication printed by Leonard N. Finnell in Georgetown, KY in 1842. Benjamin Kendrick (1759 - 1830) was born January 1 1759 in Culpeper, Virginia. He married Frances Corbin on June 30, 1778 in Fauquier County, Virginia. They had eight children -Father of Elizabeth (Kendrick) Putnam, Nancy (Kendrick) Cummins, William Kendrick, Joseph Kendrick, Fanny (Kendrick) Smith, Frankie (Kendrick) Smith, Dosha Dorcas (Kendrick) Corbin and Joanna Kendrick. Benjamin Kendrick and one of his brothers joined Captain Gillison's 10th Virginia Regiment during the Revolutionary War. He was injured in the hip by a musket ball during the Battle of Brandywine on September 11, 1777. Kendrick was an avid supporter of Andrew Jackson. Family oral history claims that Benjamin had a sleigh made of hickory wood to carry him to the polls on election day. Upon arriving to vote, Benjamin declared that he was sealing the vote of the entire Kendrick clan to the Democratic Party and "Andy-By-God Jackson".
