[Nauvoo], 1930. Real photo postcard [8.5 cm x 14 cm] Divided back. Near fine. View of a man standing in front of the Oriental Hotel in Nauvoo, Illinois. The Oriental Hotel was erected in 1841 as a residence for Adam Swartz, a German immigrant. It was purchased in 1885 by William C. Reimbold, who converted it to the Hotel Oriental which was operated by the Reimbold family until 1938. Today it operates as the Hotel Nauvoo.
