Signatures: A8 a4 B-Z8 2A2 (8vo). 18th-century Cambridge-style binding with blind-tooled and blind-rolled decoration. Publishers' catalogs on 2 pages preceding first page of text. Wood cut head- and tail-pieces. ESTC, t064635. Bookseller's label on front fixed endpaper for Saml. Hart, Sr., Sign of the Bible, Charleston, S.C. Small white embossed armorial bookplate on front fixed endpaper with motto "Nec temere nec timide." Former owner's name "R.J. Nelson" and Chicago address written on a small piece of paper attached to the front fixed endpaper, probably covering up a previous owner's name. Written at head of title page: "Stephen Elliott 1841." A few marginal notations. In Good Condition: lacking much leather over spine and some from both boards, which are still attached; faint dampstain and light soiling on title page and first pages thereafter; otherwise, clean and tight.
