About This Item
Boston: Little, Brown and Company. Very Good in Very Good dj. (c.1972). First Edition. Hardcover. [top corners slightly bumped, a little fading along top and bottom edges of boards, light foxing to fore-edge, spine just a bit turned, clipped magazine review of the book affixed to ffep, pp.74-75 are severely discolored from a long-gone laid-in newspaper clipping; jacket a bit dog-eared at top of spine, a couple of small nicks at top and bottom of front panel, short closed tear at top front hinge + associated diagonal creasing at top of front panel, wrinkling/creasing along at bottom of rear panel]. INSCRIBED ("To Marilyn & / Nathan my / favorite / restauranteurs / Wherever you / are") and SIGNED by the author on the half-title page. Memoir of the character actor who blossomed into a full-fledged star later in his career. According to the review that a previous owner carefully trimmed and mounted on the ffep, "Quinn strips himself naked in a way that's almost unprecedented in superstar biographies. Unsparingly honest, self-made and furiously ego driven, Quinn often proves as compelling in print as he is on film." Signed by Author .
