About This Item

San Francisco: N.p., 1990. Vintage "[illegible] Hard Driving Acoustic Poetry in the Castro" flyer for a performance by what appears to be "Tritanes," although the a has been illegibly amended, and an art opening by Michael Brown, at San Francisco's A Different Light bookstore, Sunday March 4, 1990.

A Different Light was a chain of four LGBTQ bookstores, one of the most influential LGBTQ booksellers in the US, with locations in Los Angeles' Silver Lake neighborhood and West Hollywood, New York City's Greenwich Village, and San Francisco's Castro district. Due to difficulty in competing with online book sellers, the chain closed all four stores between 2001 and 2011, the location in the Castro district was the last to close in 2011.

8.5 x 11 inches. Very Good plus with several small pinholes to the corners.
