Outdoor Life, New York, 1946. First Edition. Hardbound. Condition: Very Good. No dust jacket. 142 pp including 31 fullpage full color drawings by Francis Lee Jacques, a foremost artist of the outdoors. Other illustrations are smaller b/w etchings of wildlife also by Jacques. Each depiction of game is described by one of the era's most distinguished authorities on wildlife. Text is clean and unmarked with no prior owner attribution. Red outer cover contains a black seal with a gilted title and small gilt outline of a deer stag's head. Covers have light water stains that do not affect interior text.
