Orig. published in 1907, this is a later (post-1935, likely mid-century) Reilly & Lee reprint, with the no color plates, but lavishly illustrated in pen-and-ink by John R. Neill throughout the book's 270 pages. Likely a mid-century printing, as the endpapers are now blank; all other illustrations remain the same. With medium blue cloth over boards & a brilliantly colored paper pastedown to front cover & black lettering & design to spine (fancy publisher script, not plain), this hardcover large 8vo is in VG+ condition: extremely clean & crisp, binding straight & strong, hinges secure. Pages creamy white with mild tanning, but unmarked save for old gift inscription inside front cover. The "This box belongs to " box is blank & ready for your child's name. Some light soil spots to outside fore edge pages, tiny bit of paper loss by the "Z" in "Ozma" on front cover. This copy has its original DJ, which was laminated by a previous owner. Condition is Good, with slight chipping at heel of spine & a vertical crease to middle front, edgewear along back bottom.
