London: Syndicate Publishing 1914. (4to) 414pp. Very good, no dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt titles and color pastedown. Photographs, illustrations, folding map. Covers are bright, some creases to the edge of the pastedown, a crack to the front inner hinge, the back inner hinge has been reattached with visible repairs including some staining. Having been repaired, the book is tight and sound. Illustrations by Gordon Grant & E.J. Read. Locale: Panama Canal. (History--Central America, Engineering, Revolutions).
