Paris: Ludovic Baschet, 1900. Hardcover. Very Good. Typogravure Goupil & Cie. [2] p., 56 plates; 37 cm. Red leather spine with gilt spine title; red and black marbled paper over boards. Marbled endpapers. Title page is printed on pink paper, with advertisements on the reverse. No date of publication. The plates are dated 1885 or 1886; the advertisement for the Panorama series on the reverse of the title page includes L'Exposition Universelle de 1900. Former owner's name on title page: "Wm. Harle." William Harle or Horle was a well-known American maker of miniature military figures. A heavy book; for international shipping, it will have to be sent by priority international. Extremely scarce. In Very Good Condition: cover is rubbed; loss of leather at spine ends; leather is separated along front joint and starting at head of back joint; plates are clean and bright.
