NY: Random House, 1971. First Edition. 8vo, pp. 154. 23 illustrations. 2 pp chronology of performances. Cover little stained, o/w a nice copy. No dj. The performance, which originated without a text and seems to have grown out of guerilla theater, is a series of actions based on the Hasidic idea of a ladder from earth to heaven on which life is lived, and the on Hindu chakras. Actors perofrm as naked as local law will permit. The world premier took place in Avignon in the Cloitre des Carmes, July 24,1968.
