Best-selling antiwar novel about the execution of some French soldiers on false charges of cowardice in World War I. "Paths of Glory" was the Book of the Month Club choice for June 1935. The book also was the basis for Stanley Kubrick's 1957 film of the same name starring Kirk Douglas.
PHYSICAL DETAILS: Small Octavo (7 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches; 195 x 130 mm), 265, [1] pages, in cloth, titles to front board and to spine, in an unclipped, printed dust jacket.
CONDITION: Sunning to top edge of cloth, fading to spine lettering, toning to end papers, previous owner's ex-libris pasted to half title. About Very Good in a Fair, heavily soiled and rubbed dust jacket with a few nicks and tears as well as some evidence of dampstaining.
