Dresden and Leipzig / London: A, H. Payne and W. French Book. Near Fine. Full-Leather. Fine but for Minor rubbing andwear to extremities.School prize award presentation dated 1859, tipped to front pastedown. Major flaw is scattered foxing throughout, the worst of which is in the text and margins, but does affect several of the evgravings. The majority are still sharp and clean. Bound in gilt decorated dark, blue-black leather, with gilt inner dentels. Spine with 5 raised bands, and brgundy label. all edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Total of 321 pages ( 240 and 81 ) and 127 tissue- guarded, full page engravings ( 90 and 37 ). No date, but preface to Reynard the Fox is 1851. A handsom book that weighs over two and a half kilos, so extra postage will be required..
