A lavish scholarly study of Pegasus in fine and popular art through the ages, from Greek vases through Renaissance prints, astronomical works, French Symbolism, etc., up to the red Mobil flying horse. Chapters by various specialists. An excellent reference; many unusual works are here. Published to accompany a large museum exhibition. Heavy; shipping/handling will be extra.
