Approx. 2.5 x 4.5 in. 64 pp. Full maroon calf, stamped in blind with cross & vine motif on both covers, titled in gilt on spine, all edges gilt, with decorative endpapers; in black pebbled slipcase. Includes the ordinary of the mass, the nuptial mass, and the mass of the dead. Illustrated with exquisite black & white vignettes, and frontispiece. Title page printed in red and black; red rules beneath headlines and red capitals. Text in French and Latin. An exceedingly fresh copy, with bright gilt titling, of a beautifully printed 19th-century French missal.
