Reviews
On Apr 2 2020, a reader said:
When Alan Laramie is arrested upon his return to town for the murder of Seth Gridley things turn incredibly ugly rather quickly, as lynch talk fills the air. Only Joan Hastings believes his story that he didn't kill Gridley and that the murder weapon had been planted among the pelts. What follows is a masterful adventure of manhung and escape as only William Byron Mowery could tell it set against the sweeping and magnificent back drop of the Canadian Northwest. I can't say enough good things about this book. It's the kind of book I'll read over and over and never tire of. I've had my copy for almost 40 years.
