Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company. c.1936. Large format photograph album in card covers, ribbon tied, 25.5cm x 31cm, issued for passengers on P&O cruises to record their voyage in a scrapbook style, printed gilt logo of the company on front cover and titled also in gilt, "With the compliments of the Chairman and Managing Directors of the P.&O. S. N. Co.". The album includes the original large print photograph, 15.5cm x 20cm, of the cruise ship "Strathnaver" as supplied by the P & O Company, very good condition. Rare This album was presented with the compliments of the P&O S N Co. to enable passengers to record events during their travel on the ship. The ship 'Strathnaver', launched in 1931, was one of the fleet known as the 'White Sisters', being the first P&O liners to be painted white with buff funnels 1st edition. Ribbon tied wraps.
