Moderate wear to covers, front cover has one-inch tear along lower edge of spine, with a few small chips and short tears on covers (at yapped edges) and two small chips on rear cover, else a very good copy, with text fresh and clean. First edition [with copyright by Edward Rock]. 64 pages (followed by 16 pages of advertisements by various American merchants for cameras, film and apparatus). Although. 12mo. Although this American publication, written under the pseudonym 'The Kurnel,' makes no mention of Col. Henry Philip Hawkes, it may have been commercially inspired by, or based upon, the English publication of the same title, 'Photography in a Nutshell' by "The Kernel" (pseudonym of Henry Philip Hawkes), which was issued in London, by Iliffe & Sons Limited [published in 1891, and re-issued in 1906]; the English edition has different pagination and content than this 1909 American publication of the same title, written by 'The Kurnel' (copyright by Edward Rock).
