About This Item

Sydney: Summit Books. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1980. 2nd Impression. Paperback. "This Revised Edition brings Australia's History up to the present day (1977/80)." . In the original publisher's glossy full colour pictorial card covers. No dustjacket as issued. The covers have a little creasing/knocking to the corners of the book, the bottom front corner in particular which looks burnt at the tip (? ) , and some negligible edgewear to the head/tail and edges of the covers, o/w the covers are Clean, Tight and Near Fine. There are a couple of smudge, perhaps thumb, marks to the top and side fore-edges, and the bottom edge has some small brown 'paint' (? ) spots/flecks all over it. It's quite possibly paint as this book came from the Library of the late Arthur Giardelli, the well-known Artist, but is unascribed. Apart from those very minor 'faults' this book has No Inscriptions or Marks. 320 pp. Illustrated throughout in b/w with about 600 photograhic illustrations, engravings, Maps & drawings. Index. " This Revised Edition of the Rienits' Classic work (1st Published in 1969) traces Australias' history from before the 'white man', when the land was only inhabited by Aborigines, through major social, economic and political events up to Australia's involvement in the the Vietnam War, the opening of Sydney Opera House and Cyclone Tracy....etc......" . ; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
