London: Edwards, 1788. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo. pp. iv, 30, and 25 plate pages. Binding; full straight grain morocco binding, with extensive gilt decoration to the spine and elaborate gilt to the board surrounds, some light wear. gilt fore-edges, highly decorative gilt turn-ins. Contents good and tight, matching endpapers with the plate of Sir George Taylor to the front pastedown. Each plate has with it a careful description and caption; a very charming item. [Sir George Taylor, former director of Kew, keeper of botany, British Museum, plant collector and botanist].
